THE Podcast on Beer in China

In August 2020, we launched our podcast 啤酒事务局, which literally translates into “Bureau of Beer Matters”. Over the last three years, we’ve invited founders/brewers of almost all leading Chinese craft beer breweries to share their stories, experience and thoughts of beer.

Now, our podcast has become the most influential podcast on craft beer in China. We have produced over 150 episodes, that are available on all major music/podcasting platforms. Over 52,000+ beer lovers have subscribed our podcast, contributing an average listen of 32,000 per episode, with the highest reaching 92,000 listens. The total number of listens has exceeded 4.2 million, with a completion rate of 58%.

Podcast for Beer Professional Training

In addition to the regular podcast, we have also produced a podcast for advanced learning of beer. This podcast aims to help people who would like to become a BJCP beer judge, Certified Beer Server or Certified Cicerone.

During the program, we firstly learn about malt, hops, yeast and water. Then we learn the brewing process, what are the common off-flavors and their potential causes. We group and compare beer styles according to the BJCP Style Guidelines. Of course, we also provide useful tips and advice to prepare the BJCP or Cicerone exams.
